Bomber boys beat Wabasha
by Mike Dalton

The CFHS boys basketball team has had a perfect start to their season, beating Wabasha-Kellogg 51-34 in their first game.

Isaac Illa reached double figures in scoring, netting 16 points. Drew Otte had seven, Nick Bultena six, Luke Sjoquist five, Marcus Banks, Rhett Schaefer and Hudson Neumann four, Graham Pearson three, and Kendric Banks two.

Illa also had a dominant performance on the boards, pulling down 13 rebounds. Otte had seven rebounds and Banks had six.

The game was played as part of the Plainview-Elgin-Millville tournament Saturday, and weather forced the postponement of the Bombers' second game against PEM. That game was played Tuesday night. Cannon is at Lanesboro Thursday and at Breck on Tuesday, December 11.
