Donna Mae Bresnahan, 78, Burnsville, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 8, 2013.
Donna was born at home near Randolph on November 25, 1935. She was the oldest of Milton and Dorothy Otte's four children.
She met the love of her life, Paul Bresnahan, while attending school in Randolph. They were married July 2, 1952, at St. Dominic Catholic church and made their home on a farm outside Stanton.
She and Paul raised seven children, Steven (Marlene), Teresa (Bill) Winchell, Tim (Sue), Kevin, Cindy (Keith) Illa, Bryce (Alison), and Becky (Fiancée John Anderson). They have 17 grandchildren and 27-3/4 great-grandchildren.
Donna dearly loved her family and her extended Pennsylvania family and was happiest spending time with them.
Through her extended illness fighting ALS, she never lost her sense of humor, her love of life and never complained.
She is survived by Paul, her husband of 61 years, all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her sister Mabel Jurgenson of Paulina, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Bill Otte and Mick Otte.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 14, at Grace United Methodist Church, 15309 Maple Island Rd., Burnsville, MN 55306. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at White Funeral Home (12804 Nicollet Ave) Burnsville, and one hour prior to the service at church on Friday.
Memorials can be made to ALS Association, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota chapter, Autism society, and Fairview Hospice.
