DeeAnn Mitchell, 62, died of cancer at United Hospital, Sunday, November 11, 2012.
She was born October 17, 1950, to Donald and Maybelle (Mortenson) Mitchell, in Benson, MN. The youngest of five, she gave birth at a young age to a baby girl, Rachelle, who was given up for adoption and reunited in 2012.
DeeAnn met Fred Wrobleski in Benson, MN and they had two daughters, Faye and Sheila. The family lived in Benson, and later moved to Clarkfield and Boyd, then to Cannon Falls. Fred was a farmer and DeeAnn worked at Midwest Importers and Gemini. They later separated and DeeAnn moved to Hastings, where she worked at Smeads and Philanders Bar. She moved to Prescott and continued to clean for Philanders Bar until getting sick in March of 2012. In April she moved back to Cannon Falls.
DeeAnn is survived by daughters Sheila (Ed) Wrobleski-Berg, Cannon Falls, and Rachelle (Thom) Lamphere, Arkansas; granddaughters Samantha Berg and Breonna Lee, both of Cannon Falls, and Mackenzie Lamphere, Arkansas; grandsons Freddie and Eddie Berg, both of Cannon Falls, and Reed Lamphere, Arkansas; two brothers, David of St. Cloud, and Gary (Caroline) of Colorado; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Faye Wrobleski of Cannon Falls; two brothers, Ronald of Washington, and Allen of Moorhead, MN; infant nephew, John; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Betty Wrobleski) Mitchell.
Funeral service is Saturday, November 17 at 11 a.m. at First English Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. and lunch at Noon.
