Emi Trost will once again represent the Cannon Falls High School track team at the state meet this weekend at Hamline University in St. Paul.
Trost, the defending 800m champion, will this time complete in the 3200m. An injury has prevented her from competing in the 800m. She took first in sections with a time of 11:02.78.
She will run at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Friday, June 6. Her seed time is nearly a half-minute better than any other competitor.
Katherine Hoffman placed 7th in the 1600m run, the highest of the remaining CF entrants. Emma Thomley was 9th in the 200m dash, 10th in the long jump and 10th in the 100m dash, and Hoffman was 11th in the 800m.
Two relays advanced, the 4x800, which finished 11th (Mia Holscher, Amanda Wulf, Annika Thomley, Payton Cooper), and the 4x200, 12th (Dani Hansen, Angie Hoey, Grace Rutter, Grace Hall).
Gus Foss medaled in the long jump, placing 6th with a distance of 20', 2.75", but did not advance. Chase Jacobson was 7th in the pole vault, Kyler Banks 9th in the triple jump, and Zach Stiehl 10th in the high jump.
The 4x100 relay (Jack Holscher, Beau Rueger, Zach Holes, Foss) and the 4x400 relay (Alex Bultena, Holscher, Jacobson, Banks) were both 10th.
