The Randolph boys basketball team finished the season with nine wins.
"It was a successful year," coach Tony Linbo said. "The program is moving in the right direction and we're doing things the right way."
Award winners were voted on by the players, with the exception of the best practice player, which was chosen by the coaches. That award went to Gino Espinoza. Best defensive player was Austin Moorhouse, co-offensive players were Drew Weidner and Eric Otte, most improved was Andrew Emery, and Mr. Hustle and MVP went to Kyle Volkert.
"All the awards were given to the right people, and they deserved them," Linbo said. "We will have a more experienced team next season with a lot of competition for roster spots and playing time as we get ready for new competition in the Southeast Conference. The time is now to prepare for the opportunities we will have next season."
Letterwinners were Grant Otte, Jackson Neil, David Speight, Andrew Emery, Drew Weidner, Luke Dubbels, Drake Speight, Gino Espinoza, Sam Feidt, Eric Otte, Austin Moorhouse, Hunter Ehlers, Ben McKay and Kyle Volkert.
Three seniors will graduate: Moorhouse, Emery and Espinoza. "They all have given a lot to Randolph athletics and the Rocket basketball team, and we thank them for that," Linbo said.
