Rockets win one at Kenyon

by Mike Dalton

The RHS volleyball team picked up one win at Saturday's tournament at Kenyon-Wanamingo, beating St. Paul Harding.

Randolph lost three matches, to Waterville, Pine Island and Dover-Eyota.

Sami Bey had 13 kills and seven blocks on the day, Carolyn Meyer had seven digs, and Madi Taylor 25 assists.

"The girls started the day strong, playing tough against Harding and Waterville," coach Lee Moen said. "As the day wore on they got fatigued and became flat."

The Rockets faced Waterville the previous week, losing in four games.

"The girls played the best they have all season, and pushed Waterville to the limit in three out of the four games," Moen said.

Bey had 14 kills and four blocks, Taylor 16 assists, and Karly Friedges 10 digs.

Randolph hosted Christian Life on Tuesday. They host Faribault BA on Thursday, then go to Bethany Academy on Monday and Dover-Eyota on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
