The Randolph Railcats lost two games to Dundas last week, and lost to Hager City in the ninth inning.
On Tuesday, July 16, the Railcats traveled to Dundas, losing 8-3.
The Railcats had 10 hits in the game, led by Dillion Sellner and Xavier Kopp, each with two hits. Kopp started on the mound for the 'Cats, throwing six innings. Kopp gave up five runs, four earned, on 11 hits. Trevor Otte was tagged for three runs and Ty Vincent threw two scoreless innings.
The 'Cats traveled to Hager City, Wisconsin on Friday night. Hager City came from behind in the ninth inning, scoring two runs to win the game 4-3.
Scott Otte was stellar on the mound, tossing eight innings. Otte allowed two runs on three hits and struck out seven. Sean Serres came on for the save but Hager City rallied for two runs on one hit to win the game.
Randolph hit the ball well, pounding out nine hits. Phil Otto, Paul Weidner, and Vincent had two hits apiece; Serres, Otto, and Vincent each had doubles.
On Sunday the 'Cats took on the Dundas Dukes again, only this time the 'Cats were never in the game. Dundas scored 10 runs in the first 3 innings and won the game 22-0.
Serres started on the hill for the 'Cats, but didn't make it out of the 3rd inning. TJ Nordling and Sellner threw in relief.
Randolph's bats went silent, only mustering four hits. Sellner had two hits; Nordling and Otto also had hits.
Playoffs began this week for the Railcats. On Tuesday Randolph took on Cannon Falls and on Wednesday, July 24, they face Lake City. Both games are being played in Cannon Falls at 8 p.m.
