Errors played a huge role in the Randolph Rockets dropping two of their last three games.
Four Rocket errors in one inning let New Richland escape with an 8-4 win Tuesday, May 7.
Austin Moorhouse hit the ball well, coach Chris Stanton said, going 2-3. Sam Aune, Jake Hines and Thomas Duff had one hit each.
Hines and Mitch Kimmes shared pitching duties, with Kimmes getting the win. Only three of New Richland's runs were earned.
Randolph had four more errors Friday in a 7-2 loss to Faribault BA. Rocket pitchers also issued seven walks.
Drew Weidner and Max Stoesz hit the ball hard, and each went 2-4. Cody Pirkl and Hines had hits as well.
Aune took the loss, and Trevor Otte threw in relief.
The lone win came Thursday, 5-4 over Medford.
Nathan Overby started and went six strong innings, striking out three and giving up three hits. Only one of the three runs charged to him were earned.
Moorhouse got the pitching win in relief, and also scored the winning run. He had two hits, as did Stoesz and Hines, while Pirkl, Collin Splichal and Nick Bergstrom had one each.
Randolph had a doubleheader Monday at Waterville, but information was not available. They were at Medford on Tuesday, then host Faribault BA on Wednesday, Blooming Prairie on Thursday and Nicollet on Friday, May 17.
