Three from the CFHS girls track team were named all-conference, after Saturday HVL meet at Kasson-Mantorville.
Junior Emi Trost won two events, setting meet records in both. She had a time of 5:07.40 in the 1600, breaking the old record set by Kyle Blakeslee of Cannon Falls in 2009, and a time of 11:09.50 in the 3200, breaking a record also set by Blakeslee.
Emma Thomley finished sixth in three individual events and one relay, earning her enough points for all-conference honors. Her individual events were the 400m, long jump and triple jump.
Mada Hofstedt was 4th in the long jump and 5th in the triple jump, again earning enough points to warrant an AC selection.
Other individuals who competed and placed in the top ten were Kelsie Beissel, 9th, 100m dash; Grace Rutter, 9th, 200m dash; Katherine Hoffman, 7th, 800m; Amber Edwards, 8th, 800m; Brooke Hogan, 8th, 300m hurdles; and Maria Jensen, 10th, pole vault.
The 4x100 relay was 5th, 4x200 8th, 4x400 6th, and 4x800 7th.
No one from the boys team earned all-conference honors. Placing in the top ten were Connor Rohr, 8th, 1600; Alex Bultena 5th, high jump; Nick VanWatermeulen, 5th, pole vault; Chase Jacobson, 10th, pole vault; and Bryan Anderson, 7th, triple jump. The 4x400 relay was 5th and the 4x200 relay 8th.
Neither team placed high. The girls were 8th with 69.5 points, and the boys were 11th with 22 points. Byron won both the boys and the girls team event.
Trost won two events at the True Team meet in Red Wing May 7, taking the 1600 in 5:02.19 and the 3200m in 11:20.41.
Others placing in the top ten were Rutter, 10th, 200m; Hoffman, 8th, 800m; Hogan, 10th, 300m hurdles; Angie Hoey, 10th, high jump; Hofstedt, 8th, triple jump; 4x100 relay, 5th; 4x200 relay, 10th; 4x400 relay, 8th; and 4x800 relay, 9th.
VanWatermeulen had the highest finish for the boys, placing 3rd in the pole vault. Bultena was 5th in the high jump. The 4x100 relay was 7th, the 4x200 relay 9th; 4x400 relay 9th, and 4x800 relay 10th.
Both squads were at Hayfield Tuesday. Their final regular season event is Friday, May 17, at Triton.
