Junior Jordan Lundell was named the CFHS boys basketball team MVP, at a banquet held April 7.
Lundell was the team's leading scorer, averaging nearly 14 points per game. He's first all-time in free throw percentage for a season (85.5%) and second all-time in 3-point percentage (47.8%).
He was named to the HVL all-conference team, as was junior Brock Peterson. Peterson was the team's most improved player, the second leading scorer with 11.2 points per game, and is fifth all-time in free throw percentage in a single season (82.2%).
Senior Noah Callister was honorable mention all-conference. He averaged 7.38 rebounds per game, and is seventh all-time, was the fifth player in school history to grab 200+ rebounds in a single season (214), and is sixth all-time in total rebounds with 454.
Other awards went to senior Paul Rolfes, most valuable defender (1.7 steals per game, 150 for career); junior Hunter Johnson, hustle award; and senior Colton Sande, team player award.
Rounding out the roster were seniors Austin Jacobs, Tanner Jackson and Saul Carter; juniors Josh Geiken, Taylor Carlson, Peter Haggerty, Alex Bultena, Austin Noble, Zach Stiehl and Jake Langevin; and freshman Tanner Carlson.
Cannon Falls finished the season 18-11 overall, after starting the season 3-6. They were 9-3 in the HVL Blue Division, and gave champion Lake City its only division loss, and they were Sub-section 2AA runners-up, losing to St. Peter in the final.
