The CFHS girls basketball team finished up its regular season with a 65-28 loss to Plainview.
"The girls are seeing the right passes to make, but they're just a split-second late," coach Eric Mace said. "We are reluctant to shoot so we are trying to force the ball inside. Once the girls realize that they can make the 15-17 foot jump shots the rest of the game should open up."
Callie Loeschke had seven points, Anna Rapp six, Courtney Woodcock five, Grace Rutter three, Erica Berg, Maddie Adel and Tayler Banitt two, and Maggie Rutter one. Woodcock had 12 rebounds.
The #8 seed Bombers face #1 seed Dover-Eyota in the first round of sub-section play, at Dover-Eyota on Thursday night at 7 p.m. The winner faces either #4 Kingsland or #5 Rochester Lourdes on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 6 p.m. at the Mayo Civic Arena in Rochester.
