The Cannon Falls JV volleyball team ended the 2012 season with a championship medal in the Rochester Century tournament. They also took 2nd place in their own tournament. The team finished the year with a 21-3 overall record, and were 11-1 in the HVL.
"Our girls from Cannon Falls deserve to be at the top," commented coach Jaime Winchell. "Not only do they work hard during the season, bugt all year long through camps, open gyms, and summer and winter leagues.
"We worked hard this season on speeding up our offense, and the girls were determined to defend their opponents with a tough defense. Blocking was a weak point in the defense at the start of the year, but the girls improved throughout the season. Team togetherness was also a struggle, but with hard work and some team bonding activities, they pushed through the challenges.
