If you are thinking about going on Shepherd's Center's motorcoach trip to Colorado, September 10-16, be sure to sign up early. Among other attractions, we have reservations for a two and a half hour train ride in a dome car on the Royal Gorge Railroad at Canon City, Colorado, which follows the Arkansas River to the bottom of the gorge with amazing scenery along the way. The train ride includes a three course lunch and the railroad is asking for a count by early July of individuals who will be traveling on the train. We will also have the opportunity at the Royal Gorge to cross the 956 foot high suspension bridge and ride the aerial tram.
This is Shepherd's Center's first trip west and it promises to be amazing. We will tour Garden of the Gods, visit the U.S. Air Force Academy, the Royal Gorge and historic Manitou Springs at the foot of Pikes Peak. We will also take a guided tour of Colorado Springs and Glen Eyrie Castle, all of this for $759.00 per person, double occupancy, which includes the motorcoach, six nights lodging, ten meals and all attractions. On the way home we will visit the Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park in North Platte, Nebraska.
If you would like to go with us on this exciting adventure, call Twyla Geiken or Rod Johnson at Shepherd's Center, 263-2136.
