Stanton Township Board met on December 17 with a light agenda. T-Mobile was given a Zoning Certificate to add a 2-foot microwave dish to their cell phone tower at 311 320th St. This will relay fiber optic connectivity from another tower. The height and structure will not change.
Treasurer Jennifer Ritzman reported November Receipts of $2,139.63 against Disbursements of $19,581.59. Liquid Cash stands at $186,076.79 and Investments at $114,200.87. $50,000 has been moved from the General Fund to the Building Fund CD. $5,000 was transferred from the General Fund to the Heavy Equipment Fund, as directed by the 2013 Budget.
Chair Bob Benson said a resident has called him to say there should be more light on the flag at the Town Hall. There was discussion about adding a timer, or about installing a solar light. The general opinion was that the flag was well enough lit. Said resident Dave Garner, "If someone wants a stronger light, they can donate for it."
Dates were set for the Board of Audits, which will be January 28 at 7 p.m., and the Board of Appeals and Equalization, which will be on April 8 at 2 p.m.
