The annual Cannon Falls Wine and Art Festival returns to Hannah's Bend Park on Satuday and Sunday, July 15 and 16.
Founded in 2009 by longtime Cannon Falls resident Lisa Smiley, the Festival has donated over $20,000 to the wine industry and local groups such as the Boy Scouts, Cannon Falls Community Band, Cannon Falls EMTs, and the Veterans Memorial.
There are two components to this year's festival: the wine market and the art market.
Over 80 vendors in all will attend, ranging from wineries and cideries to a juried art fair.
Among the wineries and cideries that will be present are Cannon River Winery from Cannon Falls, Aspelund Winery from Kenyon, Falconer Vineyard and Flower Valley Vineyard from Red Wing, and Keepsake Cidery of Dundas.
The art market will feature roughly 70 vendors. The market consists of strictly local goods.
Food will also be found. Ruhland's Strudel Haus bakers will make sweet and savory strudels, and the Cannon Falls Lions Club will be back with its famous steak sandwich as well as other items from the grill.White Oak Fired Pizza will be offering its famous pizza.
The festival is free to attend (and parking is free), but in order to shop the wine market attendees must hold a ticket for wine sampling, which is $25 for a 10-wine tasting, or $35 for a 15-wine tasting.
