The Cannon Valley Community Chorus will present its upcoming 2017 concerts entitled "Stage and Screen" on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30.
The choir and soloists will be performing songs from new and old Broadway musicals, such as "Paint Your Wagon," "My Fair Lady," and Carole King's "Beautiful."
In addition, there will be song selections from the big and small screens from "Singin' in the Rain," "Big Bang Theory," and "The Sting."
Proceeds from the yearly concerts are used for local charities, and The Myron Johnson Music Scholarship. Myron Johnson was a dedicated music teacher for the Cannon Falls School District, and was also a longtime director of the local Men's Choir and Combined Choirs. The current Cannon Valley Community Chorus has continued his legacy by providing a scholarship, which is available to a student continuing on with their musical participation and education in music at the collegiate level.
Show times are 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
The concert will be held at First English Lutheran Church, 511 Belle Street, Cannon Falls.
