7/11/2014 11:29:00 AM Cannon Cruisin' Days set for August 1-3
The 28th annual Cannon Cruisin' Days Car & Truck Show will take place this year beginning on Friday, August 1, with the Friday evening cruise. The cruise route is yet to be determined depending on road construction and Police Chief McCormick's direction.
Cruisers will line up at the grassy area south of Triangle Radiator and Machine and NAPA and the cruise will begin at 7 p.m.
This cruise is open to all collector and antique cars and the only admission is a donation of cash or canned goods to the Cannon Valley Food Shelf.
RJ Barbecue and Catering will have the food concession for Friday evening. There will also be 50s and 60s music over the public address system.
Saturday, August 2, there will be shows in Dennison and Red Wing.
The Sunday, August 3, Car and Truck Show at Hannah's Bend Park in Cannon Falls will start at 8 a.m. with trophy presentations between 2 and 3 p.m. The food concession will be provided by Nick's Diner of Cannon Falls.
New this year will be adult pedal car races with door prizes given to the winners, in addition to door prizes for registered participants. Music from the era of the 50s and 60s will be provided during the show.
Trophies are awarded from participant voting on their favorite cars.
Donations of cash and canned goods to the Cannon Valley Food Shelf will also be accepted during the show.
Registration forms for the show may be found on the clubs website: cannoncruiserscarclub.com or at the Friday evening cruise on August 1. There will also be a Swap Area at the show and swappers may register with Denny at 507-263-2775 for $10.
