Participating local businesses have partnered with the Cannon Falls High School to give students who qualify for the EXCEL Program discounts and benefits for their academic achievement.
The program is intended to encourage CFHS students to strive toward academic success, good attendance, and involvement in community service.
Effective from September 13, 2013, to January 17, 2014, gold card reward qualifiers are Maddie Adel, McKenna Bauer, Megan Bauer, Sheyenne Bauer, Kelsie Beissel, Hannah Boman, Caroline Bowen, Sami Cromer, Mikaela DeGroot, Ryan Foster, Kaesey Glaess, Hailey Huseth, Jake Langevin, Lauren Lecy, Quinton Lindow, Callie Loeschke, Jordan Lundell, Kenzie Meyer, Katie Noble, Bjorn Pearson, Levi Prestegard, and Molly Thomforde.
Students who qualified for the blue card are Krystin Anderson, Tayler Banitt, Carly Broze, Alex Bultena, Celina Grimes, Hunter Johnson, Jordan Kasa, Leah Meyers, Anna Nelson, Austin Noble, Brock Peterson, Kylie Robinson, Cooper Rohloff, Maggie Rutter, Sam Singh, Halley Strain, and Becca Vandenheuvel.
Green card qualifiers were Gunnar Gates, Mada Hofstedt and Madison Sesker.
Each card includes free or reduced admission to home athletic events, goods from or discounts by participating area merchants, discounts for school dances, half price popcorn at the High School concession stand and a one time discount on Cannorama, the yearbook.
Participating businesses are: Community Resource Bank, Hastings Movie Theater, Country Kitchen, Pat LeVesque, Super America, Scofield Drug & Gift, First Farmers & Merchants Bank, Family Salon, Dairy Queen, Cannon Valley Video, Dairy Inn, Dudley's Pizza, Hjermstad Hardware, Jim Nelson Insurance, Althoff Hardware, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Subway, Merchants Bank, Chicago Ed's, Cannon Eye Clinic, Hi-Quality Bakery, Spring Garden Nursery and Cannon Falls Beacon.
