The 98th annual Cannon Valley Fair in Cannon Falls runs from July 2 through July 6, with events for everyone.
Grandstand entertainment includes a car and pickup demolition derby on Wednesday, July 3, at 7 p.m. An NTPA truck and tractor pull will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 5, and the Auto Cross event will be on Saturday, July 6, at 6 p.m. Harness racing will be held Thursday, July 4, at 2 p.m., and fireworks will be at dusk.
Also held on Saturday will be a concert by Brat Pack Radio Supershow, beginning at 9 p.m.
July 4 is topped off with the Grande Day Parade beginning at 11:30, and the traditional fireworks display at dusk.
There are many free events at the fair including Cock-A-Doodle Zoo, appearances by Ronald McDonald and Ms Jazee the Clown, a kids' pedal pull, wood-working workshops, the Half-Pint magic show, minnow races, and workshops on photography and spinning.
Also free are the 4-H, FFA and WSCA youth open horse show, 4-H demonstrations, and exhibit viewing. The FFA kiddie barnyard will be open daily.
Crescent City Amusements will be on the midway, with special wristband pricing for unlimited rides on July 4 and July 6. Day Care Day will be July 3, and Senior Citizens Day will be July 5.
Admission to the fairgrounds is $3 per person per day (children age 5 and under are free), with $8 season passes available. Parking is free.
